Today’s Teen won first place at the Inland 2008 Newspaper Business Development Contest - stand-alone publication category!!
Another great announcement: Today’s Teen starts back in schools and at various retail outlets in Palm Beach County with an increased circulation of 40,000!! (If you’re a teacher interested in signing up to receive the paper in your class, email us to receive more information.)
And yes, we are already working on our back to school issue!! You guys are awesome! We’ve received some great material, and I can’t wait to share everything with our readers. In case you’re wondering what’s slated for the back to school issue, well,… I’m not going to give it all away, but I will tell you to expect some great advice on ‘keeping it all together’ when school starts. We’ve got tips on how to stay stress-free, stay focused and succeed this year. Read about what some of your peers did over the summer and how they got their jobs, and see what’s available out there for community service projects this year. Read about why you should start thinking about getting involved in politics, how to pick a major in college, and what some teens are doing with their cell phones when they replace them. Of course, there’s going to be lots more - an interview with P-Rod, the famous inline skater whose movie, Vicious Circle, just won first place at the 2008 HBO New York International Film Festival this past summer, and, an ‘ace’ interview with Ace Cooper from Rock Star Stories will also be included. We’re also introducing some new columnists and new sections - you’ll have to wait to see the paper to find out! - and we are bringing back ‘Spotted,‘ our page reserved for your favorite photos. We’ll be announcing our first ever My Pet’s the Cutest Contest, too. As for the rest of the issues to come, expect more contests, more give-aways, fabulous new writers and the most interesting reads ever!! That’s my promise to you.
