Today’s Teen first fundraiser of the year

SOMETHING TO CLUCK ABOUT THANKS TO SEVERAL PBC CHICK-FIL-A RESTAURANTS!
Boca Raton, FL, October 21st, 2008…Today’s Teen held its first fundraiser Thursday, October 16th, at several different Chick-Fil-A locations in Palm Beach County, and everyone who attended had lots of fun! The event raised funds for print and distribution costs for the paper, and helped introduce Today’s Teen to even more teens in Palm Beach County. Participants in the Spin the Wheel contest donated $1.00 to spin the wheel for a chance to win free Chick-fil-A food and fun prizes. And Chick-Fil-A was kind enough to donate a percentage of the evening’s profits, between 4:00-8:00p.m., to Today’s Teen. All a customer had to do was mention Today’s Teen at the counter - that’s it!
IMG_0209.gifPark Vista High School’s Eddie Kronz and friends ran the spinning wheel at the Boynton Beach Mall location. “It was great to get community service hours for helping out Today’s Teen.” said Kronz. “I have to say, it was cool to run the Spin the Wheel contest. The best part - I love Chick-Fil-A!.”

Help for Haiti after the storm disasters

Palm Beach Schools Students Staff And Teachers Help Relief Effort For Haiti After The Disaster Of Fay, Gustav, Hanna, And Ike

Haiti has been badly hit by four deadly storms in less than a month: Fay, Gustav, Hanna, and Ike. The storms also hit the island of Cuba but caused more severe devastations in the more vulnerable Haiti. The human tragedy is of a dramatic proportion: 793 deaths, 310 people missing, 500 injured, about 50,000 houses destroyed or damaged, and 850,000 people affected. The total loss for the fragile economy is very high for a country with a national budget about four times less than that of the School District of Palm Beach County.
